COMMITTEES
Economic Development CommitteeThe Economic Development Committee strives to be the most active and vocal business organization in Ceres working to assist, retain and grow existing businesses, while striving to attract new businesses and ventures with the focus on positive economic impacts and job creation for our citizens. By partnering with the City of Ceres and the Stanislaus Business Alliance, this committee also focuses on the local and regional economy including projects and policies that impact the city’s ability to thrive, grow and prosper.
Events CommitteeThis committee is charged with the task of identifying, coordinating and implementing events throughout the year, including the Annual Installation & Awards Dinner, Agribusiness Luncheon, Ceres Street Faire and the Holiday Service Club Mixer. This committee prepares for upcoming functions, brainstorms new ideas, and evaluates the effectiveness and popularity of the Chamber’s special events. Finance CommitteeThis oversight committee helps maintain an internal management and reporting process to ensure the long-term financial well-being of the Chamber, so that the Chamber can continue to provide services to its members, scholarships to local students and leadership in the community. This committee shall audit, or cause to be audited, the books and financial records of the Chamber at least once a year, prior to the annual meeting. The findings of that audit shall be reported to the membership at the annual meeting. This committee is also responsible for preparing an annual budget of anticipated revenues and expenditures.
Legislative and Government Relations CommitteeThis committee identifies potential legislation that may impact our business members and advises the Chamber members of these issues. This committee works and communicates directly with all of our elected officials at the local, state and national level.
Membership & Marketing CommitteeThe Marketing & Membership Committee recommends the Membership Fee Schedule, Online Advertising Schedule, web and magazine content, and other promotional and marketing venues for our members. This committee supports strategic planning for growth of new members and retention by monitoring relevancy, creating new programs, and providing continuity of benefits and services. The committee contributes to the creation of beneficial events such as educational workshops and member orientations and introduces new members to the Chamber and its many resources.
